Spectra Vondergeist: Spectra gets her beautiful name from two words meaning ghost, which makes sense given her parents (ghosts) and her appearance (ghostly). Which two words? Well, Specter (or spectre) literally means ghost. and Geist (The end of Vondergeist) means a ghost in German. So, what about Vonder? Well, von der in German means of the, so Vondergeist means "of the ghost" so Spectra's name actually means Ghost of the Ghost. Nefera De Nile: Just like Cleo, Nefera's last name references the Nile which is the longest river in the world. But what about her first name? Well, Cleo was named for Cleopatra, one of the last rulers of Egypt and Nefera is named for Nefertiti. Nefertiti was the wife of a pharaoh, Akhenaten, and also possibly a pharaoh in her own right. She was also known by these titles:
Is it any wonder that Nefera is so full of herself? Also, there's a chance that Nefera is also supposed to make you think of another word: Nefarious which means wicked or terrible. Sound like anyone you know? Oh Clawd Wolf, what is there to say? Like his sisters Clawdeen and Clawdia it's all about those werewolf claws. Howleen though? Listen for a wolf on a full moon night and you'll know just howl she got her name!
