Holt Hyde: Holt gets his name from a novel by Robert Louis Stevenson who also wrote Treasure Island. Mr. Hyde in the novel is the crazed, evil Edward Hyde, the alter ego of the nice gentle Dr. Jekyll. Perhaps that reminds you of someone else? Why is he named Holt? I have no idea. | Deuce Gorgon gets his name from his mom, Medusa who was one of three monstrous sisters known as gorgons. Medusa also had the freaky flaw (though really, more of a super power) that Deuce inherited, of being able to turn people to stone. This meant that her head could be used as a weapon against other people. A warrior named Perseus cut off her head and carried it in a sack and later stuck it to a shield like in the painting above. Deuce's sunglasses are way cooler. Why Deuce? I guess it's a play on Medusa - Meh Deuce Ah |
