Lagoona Blue, like her best ghoulfriends, has a collection of bootiful jewelry. One necklace in particular caught my eye as one to investigate for True Monster High. This necklace is from Lagoona's Mad Science outfit. Look really carefully - see the pink circles? And the lines between the circles? Those two things tell me that this is no ordinary necklace (Does anyone at Monster High have ordinary jewelry?!) but actually a ball and stick model of a chemical. So the pink circles are the balls and the lines between them are the sticks, but what does that mean? You may have heard that everything in the universe is made from teeny tiny teeny atoms? I hope? Yes? Good. When chemists make models of chemicals they sometimes use balls to show the atoms of the chemicals, and they use sticks to show how the atoms are joined together. So Lagoona has been busy in the chemistry lab. I wonder what chemical she is wearing around her neck?
Lagoona Blue: Lagoon, a shallow body of water that is near to but separate from a larger body of water. Lagoona's Dad may be from the Black Lagoon, but it's clear that Lagoona is from somewhere much more swimmable. This lagoon is Giola Thassos in Greece. Clawdeen Wolf: This one's easy - Those incredible claws, and part wolf mixed with Claudine, a beautiful girl's name. Ghoulia Yelps: You know this already, hey ghoulfriend! |
